Thanks for the warmed welcome! We are having situation now that my husband is really needs to go back to UK for medical reasons as he doesn't have any insurance that covers him while living here. He was admitted to the hospital and dismissed himself as we ran out of funds. We asked assistance from RAF but still no reply. We cannot just wait until they decide yes or no. As am really worried on everything I talked to the embassy woman that if I could seek funds like I will lend money for plane tickets for I can bring him back to UK but they keep telling me just to wait and wait which adds to my worries as I know if ever RAF will give help it takes time like to 3 to 4 months. If that long it takes I doubt if my husband can wait that long as hes getting weaker and medicine costs getting higher and he is on oxygen. Now my problem is what type of visa I should apply to make things faster or is there any way or options that I don't need to go to the embassy to apply for this? I also want to ask if there is other organization or charity we can ask help for this? I really need good advice.

I'm sorry to hear your plight. This is a difficult situation. Presumably, your husband was in the RAF before. The RAF benevolent fund is quite slow and usually advises to try everyone else first but keep trying with them. If you don't keep trying they'll assume you've got help from elsewhere. In all honesty, at this point your quickest and easiest option is to seek help from relatives/friends either in the Philippines or in UK. Other options usually involve lots of form filling.

only quick option if he can travel is to get him on a plane for the UK as he can enter at will wheras you of course need an entry visa

I have to agree with KA on this. It's not something I like to recommend and would be unsatisfactory to both of you as I'm sure you want to be with your husband while he's ill but it is true that the quickest option for your husband is to travel back if he's able while a visa is sought for you but that option in itself brings its own complications. I don't know if any of the organisations listed on the useful numbers section of the british embassy website can help you. I know you're not the only couple facing this problem.
