thanks for the quick reply and the welcome.. my main worries are the requirements my wife and child need to come here,my child will be traveling on a british passport, my wife has her visa and cfo sticker, its mainly about medical records and the requirements to leave phils and come here, she seems to think she needs a medical certificate, its new to me...i didnt think she needed one,i just want everything to go smoothly so i wanna double check everything ..thanks

Welcome aboard Jay, don't worry about asking questions that have been answered before. Sometimes we need to go over some of the rules and what not with immigration as they constantly change.

Sorry to hear you have been away from your wife and son for so long, though I am glad to also read that they will be with you soon.

And as Dom said, ask away..

    :welcome:

cheeers for the welcome kuya, yeah i told my wife to find out about her requirements there, but to me that is not a good idea because a lot of official figure,s i do not trust there at all a few example. when my wife needed to do the english speaking test she went to a agent to book the british council run test,,,she ended up "giving the test fee" to the "agent" because my wife needed english lessons from this teacher/agent i went mad on the fone to the teacher and it got sorted/ just weeks ago when applying for my sons uk passport we needed his delivery notes, he wasnt born in a hospital, just a small birthing clinic but the midwife wasnt for releasing the documents without a fee, didnt her nothing and her family managed to get the document sent to my wife who is currently in dasmarinas ,the documents was in samar, that problem is sorted now anyway thought i would ask here for advice from people who have gone through all this..thankyou

i didn't have a medical certificate when i arrived in 2009.. at that time, some had their chest x-rays handy and they're entering via london.. from what i remembered, those who didn't have an x-ray, can have it taken at the airport or would be requested to give one in a few days time.. i'm not sure if it's still the same now.. i brought my medical records though so I can have something to show when I registered with my GP here.. if you think it best to have a medical certificate, then by all means do so... it will help her GP establish a medical history anyway...

by the way, welcome to the forum!!!

Hello there and welcome to the forum.

The UKBA and Entry Officers do not require any medical certificate for UK entry.
Depending on the arrival airport they may ask for a chest x-ray but again technically is not needed. Worst case scenario would be a short delay while an x-ray is taken at the airport. Usually they will take personal detail and advise to organise with a GP to have one.
It's often better not to argue with immigration:D

I can imagine just how excited and relieved you must feel to be together again as a family.
Best wishes and best of luck

Hi lyn86 and welcome to the forum. To be honest its been quite a while since my wife came to the uk so I've forgotten most of the requirements now but I just thought I'd let you know my wife is also from Western Samar. The nearst reasonable town to the wifes province is Calbiga. Where is your wife from?
