    Hello Bob! :welcome:

Could I ask you to take a look at the sticky thread on the Taylors?

I have spent quite a bit of time in both countries over the past few years, both have their good and bad points. Cambodia in particular is changing very quickly these days.

In the last decade Phnom Penh has changed from a quiet backwater to a busy city with so much traffic and too many people.

Which part of Cambodia will you be moving to Bob?

Best of luck with the move...

I'll be in Kampot. Most of my work is on the internet and there's a reasonable connection there plus there's quite a good sound studio so I can do voice work for clients, too.

Given what's happening in Cambodia I think this is the right time to go. It reminds me a lot of the rural Philippines when I first visited in 1980.

Nearlt forgot, one other claim to fame: Friends and I started the first newspaper for the British, later European community called The Filipino way back in the 1980s. It's still going in some form. Unlike any other publication at the time it didn't have a hidden agenda (Like having someone's husband appointed ambassador to the UK ;) so it counted as a newspaper.

Oh, and two books on Philippine history - Hang The Dogs: The True Tragic History of the Balangiga Massacre and Chew The Bones: What They Didn't tell you about Philippine history at school. The latter is available in ebook format on Amazon.

Hope everthing works out well in your 'new place' Cambodia
Also hope you'll be able stay in touch here and guide some of us into our 'new place', Philippines.

By the way I just received your latest book onto my Kindle.
    (Chew The Bones)
Looking forward to a good read. Cheers Bob

It's a quiet town, very restful, fair number of good restaurants but no discos or girly bars. I'm very fond of it.
