    Hi guys,

Really a re-introduction. Posted here a few times in April last year while in a relationship that quickly fizzled out. I've since met Glessie from Bulacan and we've been strong for eight months now. Visited her and her family last July and had a magical 30 days with her which really sealed our bond and she will be coming to me in March this year on a tourist visa for a while which we're both really looking forward to, just wish there was a way i could keep her here as parting company last year was the hardest thing i've had to endure.
We'll see how it goes and i'll keep you all posted :)

    Hi Tam K

Don't forget to keep copies of your air tickets and hotel receipts should you think about marriage and then her applying for a spousal visa.
Some photographs with her and her family would be useful also.

    Hi Apo,
Yes I have all that as well as copies of all our conversations and marriage is definately on the table, our engagement will take place while she's over, all going well. I'm just not entirely sure if we can apply for her fiancé visa while here in order to at least extend her visit while we further our plans or if she has to go back home and apply, hopefully the former. Still within the learning curve ☺️

I don't think you can transfer to a fiance visa from a tourist visa, so she may have to go back and apply from there.

Has she already got a tourist visa? If not, you could apply for a fiance visa in the first instance.

    Tam K,
I think Maharg is right here.
If she comes over on a tourist visa be careful that she leaves the UK before the expiry date as it would affect the other visa she applies for.

Hi Maharg is right you cannot change from a tourist visa to a fiance visa while in the uk on a visitor visa also there are restrictions on what you and Glessie can and cant do and one is marry here while a visitor or give notice to marry.Good luck and if it helps any I am going through the same process myself!

Yup! You can't apply for a fiancé visa while in UK. You have to go back to the Phils for that :)
