just think if it had been refused ! after all--she would be highly likely NOT to leave the UK when her 6 months are up

According to an article in the Times, published shortly after she arrived, Meghan Markle holds a marriage settlement visa (the old fiancée visa). No doubt Prince Harry's office will apply for FLR before her current visa expires - which must be quite soon now.

We have the TV on this morning - BBC, tracking the event. There seems to be a fairly cosmopolitan guest list.

They celebrated the impending wedding at school yesterday with the kids all waving Union Jacks and having sandwiches outside in the sunshine, drinking out of Union Jack beakers.

You’d like to think they would adhere to what all of us have to however Im sure it would be unlikely for them to fail. Even if he does just charity these days Im sure the financial requirement is a breeze.

Yes Im sure they just sign the application form and let somebody else deal with the mechanics.

My most unforgettable ‘royal’ moment was the 1977 silver jubilee. Street parties in every street in my village, sadly all that community spirit seems to have long disappeared.

I haven’t experienced that. My grandmother used to tell me about the street parties in London after the war.

Incidentally, I have my eye on a later event today, at Wembley. :D

I remeber the Silver Jubilee street parties, its the first time I was violently ill due to drink. I was 12 and was supposed to be clearing up glasses but if there was a bit left, just necked it and collected the empty.

Always seem to have deals on with Legoland where they bung in the hotel at a reduced rate. Will go there when the kids are a bit older, more suitable rides then.
