GRRR! by The Rolling Stones is the latest greatest hits album to mark their 50th anniversary celebrations.

To be released 12th November 2012 for most of the world (13th November 2012 in North America.)

Interestingly, it includes their latest single only just now released and aptly called called'Doom And Gloom'

Yes Kuya it does. Personally I find that comforting in a ageism sort of way

I liked the lyrics too, and enjoyed the video clip. Can't believe I've lived through 50 years of the rolling stones.
Got to take my hat off to them as they're still recording and still touring.

    Al, I researched.

That first track 'Duquesne Whistle' is really quite startling for the rasping harshness of his voice.
Dylan hasn't ever been a crooner that's for sure, but by gosh the vocals on that opening song take the biscuit.

The other song that immediately grabbed me (and made me smile) was 'Tempest'. It reminded me of a previous life in Dublin and the songs I enjoyed in Dublins bars over a jar or three of that black stuff.
I could almost imagine it being written specifically for Shane MacGowan (The Pogues)
    I liked it.

Well, overall 'Tempest' doesn't reveal anything new about Bob Dylan unfortunately and it's hardly revolutionary, although some of graphic lyrics could have been influenced by an equally aging 'gangsta rapper' ex-member of The Bloods.
I don't mean that in a negative way as I did listen carefully and quite enjoyed the experience.
To be honest I felt you'd need to be a Bob Dylan fan (or a even a Leonard Cohen fan) to appreciate it.

    I wouldn't buy it.
But I will buy the Rolling stones latest.

Anyway Al, see what you think here's a video clip I found that gives a taster for each of the tracks

What do you think about that opening one? Also the 'Tempest' ?
