Hi, new to the site as from today, lots to read and learn!!! My GF is from Mindauno and we have already failed the Vis Visa application God knows why Anyway onwards and upwards and we are going to try again in Cebu in Feb 2016 I have thought of a fail safe way to get a UK visa 1) Fly to Syria 2) Get an inflatable boat from Syria to Kos 2) Get to Europe
Unfortunate as it is, as long as people are coming here on visitor visas and not leaving they are always going to have to be tough about it.
The boat idea is quite good actually, beats filling in all the paperwork. A fake passport might help, but not essential these days.
Hi DJB welcome aboard British Filipino UKVI should have given detailed reasons for refusal in there letter/notice
They did, but my GF did not understand the letter and I never asked to see it. From what I remember it was all to do with her having no ties to the Phils. I suppose we were a bit naieve in our first application and did not prepare enough, it wont happen again.
Good luck. Visit visa is a different ball game as you wouldhave to prove that gf has compelling reason to return and can financially support herself whilst visiting.. burden of proof falls on gf... Are you still applying for a visit visa?
Proof of non-immigrant intent is key. The decision is solely discretionary depending how the caseworker views the 'complete picture' Visit visa's refusal rates are not not as high as you may imagine, but they do need very careful attention if there is any weakness in the key detail. Good luck
