YouTube is awash with musicians producing their own versions of well known songs, plus the odd professional performer does so as a tribute to one of their idols. So here is a list of a few I found and liked!! Elton John - Your song - Cover by Ellie Goulding Hey Soul Sister - Train - Cover by Alyssa Bernal Linkin Park - What I've Done - Cover by Marie Digby
The first one 'Ellie Goulding' is a very special voice you can tell that straight away. The other two are great too, my daughter Gemma is a great fan of Linkin Park, I am not so familiar with their music but that last one was really good. Very often acoustic renditions (or at least simple renditions) let you hear the true soul of a song compared to the original electric productions, these are all good examples. Time turns all music into folk music and I am a folk music fan big time
Agreed. She had an incredible voice, shame the world never got to know it whilst she was still alive.
