Now this looks very cool!! Look out Facebook is what I'm saying. Google+ is a social networking project from Google (kind of like Facebook), though I think it might work out better.. Instead of having one profile and then finding out after much fuss and problems that your privacy has been compromised, Google+ sets up something called "circles". These circles are essentially groupings of friends or people you know into a group that they belong to. For instance, I might group Joy's family into a group called "Inlaws". And I can select which group gets to see what (pictures, videos, posts, weblinks). Oh, it has not even launched properly yet but I've added the Google+ button to this site so users can "like" posts they find interesting to their Google buddies.. Yes, this does sound like it could be an alternative to Facebook. Still very new. I'm sure I watched a TV report on this. May have been BBC's Click. I wondered what those little "+1" icons were. Onwards and upwards Kuya

The best part about it for me is the hangouts. I can imagine how that would be a huge bonus for Filipino families getting to have group chats from different parts of the world..
The first thing I noticed about Google+ is the need to update your profile and especially update the part where it displays who sees what! By default a lot of information is public for anyone browsing through from the web, and I guess this is how it should be, but during the profile updating you can select who gets to see what information - which is essential. Define friends into circles, even allowing a circle for one person - that special someone. As it is through circles that I think you make the hangouts work. If anyone needs an invite, let me know...
Kuya, I may be slow at these things initially, but eventually I get there. Would you let me have an invite to try this please? it just sounds so very interesting and may suit me better than FB.
I usually avoid these social media things like the plague but our of curiosity I would quite like an invite too Sean.
