I re-read this thread from the beginning, and took on board all that was said regarding those among us who couldn't work out why people enjoyed watching sport rather than playing it. Makes you think doesn't it? Well, it did me anyway. Not just about sport either... Consequently I have just been released from hospital, having tried unsuccessfully to swing through city streets on some home-made spiders web that I had secreted in a reservoir on each wrist. I think pulling on the Spandex suit must have dislodged the nozzle. My efforts regarding stopping the Nazi assault on Britain didn't go down too well as I crashed the Spitfire that I had "scrambled" into against the pole of the windsock. I blame this entirely on the actors from Pearl Harbor, who appeared to have been able to fly a Supermarine Spitfire with minimal training. I watched the segments on half speed and frame advance, and so should have been fairly proficient by the time I climbed into the cockpit. Not so. I'm also due in court on the same day, charged with attempting to steal $4m of gold bullion from a security van in Milan whilst dressed, ironically as a football supporter. Charges have also been made against me after I built a bridge across a Burmese river without the required planning permission. My neighbours have complained to the council after I built an ark in the front garden, and a misunderstanding between myself and a border collie resulted in a false alarm callout of the rescue services to an old abandoned mine. I'm going back to the telly.
a friend has recently lost a close relative--and asked me to help clear out his flat. there were piles of dvd's and cd's--which she asked me to take. most of the dvd's were football matches---dozens of them. problem is--I HATE BLOODY FOOTBALL. are they worth anything ?
i buy stuff on ebay--but cant be ar5ed to sell. i'll give them to a friend who does lots of car boots--they might make a few bob. i did a car boot once--never again. riff raff.
I think he needs some money. He needs to rebuild the defence. They've let him down too many times to be given many more opportunities.
