Hello Guys, My wife's visa runs on on the 25th of December this coming year. We plan to apply in person at the Glasgow office... She sat and passed the ielts A1 exam in December last year.. I know the new rules for the English test is to pass at A2. Does anyone know when this will come into force. From what i can see the new rules are meant to start in October. Does anyone know if this is certain? Thanks... Kev
According to this it was, as you say, supposed to be implemented in October. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-a2-english-requirement-in-the-family-route I would suggest applying to take another test. If she needs it, the website will presumably direct you to the A2 test.
