    Hello everyone!

I would like to ask how if we will be able to be granted the spouse visa for if my husband earns 6.31 pounds per hour and working 60 hours per week. If i compute it on a weekly basis that would be 378.60 pounds. Then if I compute it on a monthly basis considering 4 weeks it would be 1514.40 pounds a month. Thus, his annual income would be (considering 52 weeks as working weeks) it would be 19, 687.20.

Is there any chance we would be granted a spouse visa application?

Hope to hear comments and guidelines from anyone knowledgeable. :)

    God bless!

Mathematics was never my strong point but he needs to be able to show the UKBA that he has earned £18,600 gross or above in the last twelve months (more if you are bringing kids with you). He will need to supply payslips for the last six months prior to the application backed up by bank statements for the same period.

    Take a look at the link below to give you a more detailed assessment done by one of the fine BF chaps ;

The above will give you all the information you need.

If you are not clear on anything just post another message I'm sure someone here will be able to help you :)

    Hi Timmers!

Uhmm, to prove that my husband has to show proof of 12 months payslip to prove that is earning the required financial requirement for the spouse visa application? I just thought for a while though that we can submit 6 months payslip showing that at the end of each year he was able to meet 18, 600 :).

Yep as Timmers said, 6 months worth of payslips is required for the visa application and assuming he maintains above the visa minimum wage requirement over that 6 month period.

£19687.2 would do it. As long as it was that.

Does he earn at that rate every week, holidays included?

£9843.6 over 6 months with proof, will suffice too.

If each month the gross pay is £1,550.00 then only six months evidence is required. If some months are lower, then 12 months worth of evidence is required.

Dennie, if your husband is able to work 60 hours each week, don't make the mistake of calculating his monthly pay as 4 weeks. Except for February, each month should be slightly longer than 4 weeks and that extra few days makes all the difference in how much your husbands salary is.

However, assuming that all of his payslips since March have shown more than £1,550.00 each month then I would advise to either apply showing the payslips for March, April, May, June, July and August. If any of these months show less than £1,550.00..

And another however... If your husband is getting payslips (and paid) every 28 days then I think 7 payslips would need to be provided as long as it clearly shows that each month over £1,550.00 is being earned each calendar month. There are a few calculations the ECO can use to work this out, including adding each weeks pay.

    JohnAsh,

Yes he work 60 hours per week and he is paid every week (Thursday / Friday of the Week).

I think Ill be needing the copy of his payslip already so I can see and compute it since he is being paid on a weekly basis and I needed to see if this will be in the range of the amount you have mentioned.

I just think and feel I would have a hard time computing and analyzing his payslips.

    Hi Kuya,

I understand it clearly now that I have to compute the monthly wage of my husband depending on the number of days. My only worry is this, he works 7 days a week so that counts as 1 week already?

Since I have tried to work on the amount he is paid on an hourly basis then I tried to work on it on a monthly computation, it seems that it does not fall on the 1550.00 founds per month since he just earns round about 1514 per month. Does this mean, we will have to provide 12 months worth payslip or in his case 52 weeks of payslips?

The question is how much does he earn in a calendar month and not what does he earn every 4 weeks. It makes a significant difference.

Yes. 7 days will be his working week.

You would need to provide 26 weeks worth of payslips.

Just make sure you get and keep every weekly payslip. Then simply add up the gross pay on each of them.
