Something to watch whilst the forum is being transferred :)

A girl group from the Philippines, a twerking grandmother and a dental receptionist who had skived off work are amongst the contestants who made the X Factor judges laugh and cry, as the show's new series kicks off tonight.

4th Power - comprising of sisters Mylene, Celina, Irene and Almira - were clearly overwhelmed as they came face to face with Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw on stage, after flying over for the London auditions from the Philippines with their mother.

Their rendition of Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj's Bang Bang seemed to win over the judges, with Fernandez-Versini saying: "You took Wembley's roof off. This blew my mind."

Ora said she was impressed by their "passion, voices and attitude", adding: "I want to be your sister. You're sick."

Ah really! I'll wait until tonight and post a thought on how I believe they performed. What was your feeling for their performance? Good, bad or indifferent?

Ah! Amazing voices! How can all of them have the same powerful voice? Sexy dance moves. Swag. They're born to perform.

Cool, I look forward to it. By no means the first Filipina on XFactor either or was that Britains Got Talent. They all merge into one for me :)

Wonder what visa they got :)

The wife recons they're from Cebu as all the best singers come from there apparently.

I thought about the visas too, Paul.
I bet Cowell and his team arranged them.

They seem to have everything, Paul; good looks, great singing and good dance moves.

They are certainly eye catching and good entertainers.

I'm told that the producers actually invited them!

They are cute, but it all falls to pieces once they start performing.

Bring back one of Cowell's better discoveries - Susan Boyle :D

Showtime? Ha ha.. Hardly a world beating talent show..
Anyway.. Interested to find out exactly what rules they broke. They had some songs on the internet for sale?
    Who doesn't these days?

Of course this is a set-up! In order to get Visas to appear on TV, Cowell's production company would need to sponsor them (and their mother). Their sponsor has, by law, to pay them the same fee as would be paid to a British band of equal standing and as agreed between the broadcaster and Equity (the performers' union) and very likely had to pay their air fares, hotel expenses etc.

But such visas are only valid for a maximum of one month's stay.
