My good lady knows a few filipinas living in London who ran away from their Arab employers as soon as they got to UK, disappeared into the grey economy and lived and worked for years as illegals, they have just got asylum seeker status through the machinations of one of Londons dodgy asylum/immigration lawyers

Not really! They act normal and have jobs. Some establishment hires them as it’s cheaper and cash in hand arrangement. Most of them works at home doing part time cleaning jobs. This is why they don’t socialise with Filipino with proper visas, as they fear they will betrayed them which oftens happens when they fight with others. Sad but true! Our own fellow country people are the one who betrays us. I stay away from them too as they can make my life living in hell. You are just very lucky person if you don’t encounter any ‘Marites’ (Gossipers)
Here in England, if women are jobless, they stay at indoors most of the time. In the Philippines they stay outdoors most of the time to get signals for their topics of the day to gossip about!
