I'm not impatient or anything but I just wondered how long people have waited for their fiancee visa decision. The agency told us that they usually take 15 - 40 days but I think that's very optimistic! I see that UKBA have changed their page - it now says - "UKVI aim to complete 90% of non-settlement applications in 3 weeks and 95% of settlement applications in 12 weeks." So how long have people waited and was your decision a yes or a no?
2 weeks for us. I have seen them done in a day and any number in between that and days over 60. It just varies so much and seems to bear no relation to anything that you can put your finger on. And there are no shortcuts as far as I know. So one just has to sit and wait, unfortunately.
I can't remember exactly how long ours took, but it was more than a couple of months. We applied early October 2012 and hoped that she'd be here for Christmas but I got so fed up waiting that I booked to go to Philippines for Christmas instead. By the time Christmas came around we had heard that we were succesful, so it must have been mid to late December by the time we heard. So I came back New Years Eve and she went to the provinces for a couple of weeks. then came over in January. And we all lived happily ever after. So far.
It was 2.5 years ago. I do sense they are taking longer in general but some are taking much less than 2 or 3 months, even now.
Thank you I've read around the 50 day mark on other forums too so maybe that's a bit of an accurate average.
There was someone on here just a few days ago that pointed out that a percentage of them are processed each month in just a week or two. The site is down just now so cannot check.
