    hello,

i just want to know if theres any way you can bring a partner/fiance without meeting the financial requirement of 18k?

and also, is it better to apply for a fiance visa or get married first in the philippines before applying?

    thanks.

    1. Through savings.

    2. It's a matter of personal choice. A fiancee visa will involve one extra visa application but, at the same time, will get you together quicker.

You do not have to meet the financial requirement if the UK resident is a an EU national such as Hungarian or Polish. You can also make up any shortfall in income through savings if the UK resident is British. The savings amount required is 16000 + 2.5*(18600 - income)

There are few differences between the two but the fiancee route is more expensive because it requires am additional visa application. It is also slightly easier to apply for the spouse visa when there are children involved although it is possible to apply for a fiancee visa with children.

I am on PIP so I am exempt from it,just need to show the award letter and bank statements showing it going in your account.
