On reflection I think I may have given the wrong answer to your first question. Just to clarify we first met online (chat) after being introduced be someone we both know in May 2019. The last and only time we physically met was in November 2019. I think being able to prove the relationship side of the visa requirements is our weakest area and I decided to post on this site to get the opinions of the more experienced on our chances. Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.

I looked at the 1st question last night and it's actually worded " when did the relationship begin?"
There is a school of thought that says a relationship can only begin at a first meeting others will say when you first met on line!

Thanks for investigating that for us.
As you say there different interpretations to the question, but the important thing is what interpretation will be of the deciding official.

I'm glad that wasn't crucial during our application
We 'met' online in 2011 when my now wife was an OFW, but not in person until 2017, when I visited her in the PI twice.
In between those two visits we had a Tourist/Visitor Visa declined, finally securing a FV in August 2018 after a six month wait from the date of application!

Is it all going well for you both?
I think the " when did the relationship start" is often IMO based on time and events and how the ECO views it all in time scales etc.

i fail to see how anyone can be in a relationship if they havent even met in person. that person online could be anybody.

At least it was not like the story of the man who sent tons of money over to his pretty lady and when he went meet his true love, was a little bit put out when he was greeted by a man o_O

It's all about good or bad luck in the end.
Some people split up in in the first week after marriage and some are happy for years and years after the same.
