Family Visit for Sister

My wife has a younger sister. She actually was more like a mother to her (fairly common in Phils I believe).
We would like her to experience UK just for fun. Problem seems to be that she is not employed and I just can't think of a solid reason that the ECO would believe she would return to Phils. We just recently got her to obtain a passport. No previous overseas travel. She is 26 years old, lives with her unmarried partner (since 4 years) and her 3 year old daughter. Not really any savings either. (yeah, I know what you're all thinking.
Is there any hope for us to get her here for a 3 week holiday with family visit visa??

Thanks for reading, understanding my concerns, and thanks for any comments, advice or suggestions.

If shes coming alone her child in the Phils might help for compelling motive to return its realy a total lottery on these type of visas Micawber:erm:

    Yes she will come alone.
I know what you mean about the issue with visit visa's . No point in worrying too much, just have to do the best we can. Luckily not too expensive.
Just wondered if anyone knew of a good 'trick'.
Hope she can make it, I know she would be so thrilled to see UK. Would make a huge benefit for my wife too as it would be her birthday when the visit is planned.
Life can be so complicated sometimes.

Balot, I wish you good luck for your future family visit visa.
I just now discussed again with my wife about her sister, she said she (my wife) is already decided and determined to have her come to UK this summer. She is convinced that a very good invitation letter will be the 'X' factor for success. Hey, maybe she's right. The visa cost is not so much. Maybe something will turn up :)
"Better to try and fail than never to try" she told me. Always positive that's pinay:like:

    Hi Micawber!
We are also going to try and get my Mum to visit here... She's unemployed and no savings... I have 4 siblings and she has 7 grandchildren in the Phils and one coming in august. We don't have much savings, just a good bank statements and my husband will make a good sponsor letter for her.
Goodluck! Hope we both get positive results :like:

A well presented sponser letter from you and the missus would be a plus that and a positive vision of her arriving;)

It's really so frustrating and so unfair that a visit visa for family is just so tricky. UKBA can be very 'picky' on easy targets for refusal, but then allow so many others (such as students who clearly are not) to come here. :frust:

Good Luck to us both adamchryss for happy outcomes :like:

Thinking about it, you will realize that luck has very little to do about it, apart form the odd ECO getting up from the wrong side of the bed that particular morning....

It is more to do with the right documentation at hand to present...

I had the link at one time, for the whole she bang of rules and regulations, but cannot remember where's at, for now...

In the meantime, this should do nicely, just to keep your overactive mind occupied for a few minutes...

will keep on digging, trying to find the original one.
