Excel spreadsheet formula

    Yeah it was an interesting one, last spreadsheet I wrote was designed to let me load my camera rucksack and stay within flight carry on baggage restrictions, a "what if" model, I weighed all my bits and pieces individually then had lots of conditionals to map the weight into columns depending on whether I was putting items in the hold or in my pockets or in my rucksack or on my body, like the weight of a wristwatch and my reading and distance glasses:) or like slinging one of my camera's round my neck, all important when trying to get the weight below 12kg :)

    Excel is an in memory tool even 60,000 rows can probably be counted in an instant.

    And I know people like to put totals at the bottom of columns like they would on paper but any sheet I ever write for myself puts the totals at the top of the columns.

    I'm dealing with some product catalogues at the moment (in Excel unfortunately) and the questions I'm getting asked from a third-party developer means I have to answer in a timely fashion. The answer to my solution is to do VLOOKUP() functions on the data. Other than that, the last time I used Excel was for learning purposes in college :)
