AFAIK, there's still problems with Chelsea and Man City and also with Everton again. Who knows?

The long standing record is broken it now stands at 13 games without a win, should change on Saturday against Burnley, maybe.

There was an award at the Everton game yesterday! Someone at work commented last week prior to this weekend that the 4 points back amounted to 66% of Evertons points gained for the whole of 2024 thus far[IMG]

I know everyone bleats on about how MCFC's charges are different etc, but the whole thing around Everton, Forest and Leicester stinks in how they are being treated so differently. Like last season, Everton are fortunate that the bottom 3 are worse than last season even with Luton trying their best. With the talk about point sanctions being abolished and Chelsea potentially on the hook, it would be outrageous if the Ev's go down and Chelsea end up with a different penalty for any FFP breaches!

By all accounts it should of been a 5 point deduction but through negotiations Everton got it down to 2
    They will survive

Someone on Talksport said that it wasn't the PL that set the rules for point deductions but the clubs themselves, so Everton can't complain.
However, I still don't know why Man City and Chelsea haven't had points deductions.
It is a shambolic season from the Toffee's point of view.

The clubs did set the rules but I suspect this was on the hope the rules were enforced fairly by the Premier League.

Blind Freddy knows City have, if not "cooking" the books, they had certainly been over egging certain aspects of their income via their state ownership. It must be galling watching City delay this process due to how complicated their ownership basis has made the whole thing.

In light of punishments given to other clubs and even though I enjoy seeing successes in the North West, City need to be relegated to oblivion when found guilty of their breaches. Let them play Oldham in the Conference and begin the season on -50 points.

Think any points deductions should be made close season, do the investigating etc. open season but apply the points deductions close season to clubs with suspected breaches.

Bloody ridiculous to penalise one club at a time and at "sometime" during open season like they've done to Forest and Everton.

Actually don't think points deductions are the way forward, maybe better: to fine clubs; force them to balance the books; go after senior management and directors with hefty fines and bar them from working in English football again etc.

I can see some clubs being ruined if they get a big points deduction and are relegated: Garth Crooks made the point what happens if the Club are relegated... why should their star players and/or manger suffer... they should be able to move somewhere else and seek compensation from the Club if it has been mis-managed. And what happens if the Club are renting their ground from the local authority - what happens to that, what about the fans - why should they be made to suffer ... goes on and on.

Not quite sure what the Auditors have been doing either? Surely any club in EPL should be being regularly, independently, audited and certified as being run fairly in compliance with FFP rules and whatever else etc... any found not, should have their breaches clearly documented and published so everyone knows what the f' is going on.

City if found guilty should pay a huge fine, it's nothing to do with the fans. Some clubs have been 'cooking the books' for decades just been clever at covering their tracks.
Manure got caught last month but got away with a fine ( slap on the wrist)
See how this works. Money under the table. Man U biggest cheats in the EPL.
Manchester United fined €300000 by Uefa for financial fair ...

You need to read the report properly and not try and Deflect from the woes of 115 breaches city.
The fine was issued by UEFA nothing to do with the EPL get a grip man

Huge fines get paid with admission charge hikes.
Points deduction is the only way to resolve cheating on the scale some clubs have been doing.
Notice how all the owners of all the cheating clubs are from outside the civilised western world and from lands of cruelty and human rights issues. They think with their ill gotten gains they can buy anything and everything!
City should if proven guilty of even half of the 115 charges laid against them be booted out of the FA
It’s not yet fully known the level of deceit at Chelsea but again a tainted club.
The small clubs like Everton and Forest who’s misdemeanours are small by comparison need relegation to be served upon them.

The bigger issue is... you don't want to break the EPL and you don't want to punish the fans.

So, first go after the management, and if that doesn't work go after the owners.

I have no idea about this because I don't know what their situation is regarding charges.

Fining clubs will not work, IMO, when the some owners are immensely wealthy like Man City and Newcastle.
