    Hi Guys
Someone just told me that after getting married I can bring my wife to UK on an EEA visa, but she can only stay under 3 months.
    Is this right?
I’m thinking: after getting married to take her to Portugal as I’m also a Portuguese citizen, but if she can come to UK on an EEA visa for 3 months that will be braw

If you are a Portugiese Citizen than you have to apply for an EEA Family Permit, which is valid for 6 months, and free iof charge
If you are working and residing in the UK, even better, after 6 months, you can apply for a residence card, valid for 5 years at the exorbitant price of £55. The Permanent residence Card is also £55.
    Good luck.

So which citizenships do you hold ?

It's an important issue if you are considering the Family Permit route.

You would have to give up British Citizenship to get her to the UK on your Portuguese Nationality and then the Family Permit is free and good for six months of entry . A 5 year Residents Card for your Wife would cost £65 plus biometrics around £20 the only way round this would be if you can live and work with her in either Portugal or any other European Country for a minimum of 13 weeks and then return to the UK under Surinder Singh

I covered this with you already King back in June

Keith few months back I spoke to you about giving up my British citizenship, but after carefully thinking I have changed my mind as I had to go true so much to get the British citizenship.
I don’t mind going to Portugal and using SS route, but I have been told that I can’t use the SS Route in the country im citizen of. Is this right?
