so then... my dad got his visit visa and the first thing on my mind is to ask my dad to bring me dried fish (bulad pinikas) and some tableya/sikwate. has anyone tried bringing them in the uk before? if so, how much did you bring in or allowed to bring?
We still have some left over from our lass last jaunt in January...... I suppose one can bring a few well wrapped bags in the hold luggage. But be prepared to sign divorce papers if you even attempt to cook that awful stuff in the house.... My wife takes it to one of her friends place and it is cooked on the patio, so her neighbours and Halo Halo can have a full wiff of cultural gastronomic diversity........ Admittedly, from time to time, when I am away for work, she does sneak the odd cook-off at home and as I get back, my feet seem to get the blame for the awful smell permeating the rooms...
A Asawa has brought 3 (slightly smaller than a regular plastic shopping bag) back before now. Also wrap in newspaper to kill the smell a bit. Well done on the visa
I didnt know they were doing it at barbie time. Ill have the council coming round saying neighbours are complaining about the awful smell.
Had a dodgy neighbour once..Used to moan and groan about nothing all the time..So I bought a top grade extractor from our kitchen into his garden, stuck a wok,hot oil and half a kilo of dried fish from the R.P into it and turned the extractor onto turbo mode.. Dont **** with me,for too long eh or that`s what you will get. Or is that me just being inconsiderate"?
