We are starting to prepare my spouse visa application. I have read that going down the 10 year route due to human rights we don't need an ielts b2. Can anyone confirm if this is correct. My wife would have no problem passing it, it's just a sheer waist of money paying for it if we don't need it. Especially since we are going to have to pay for 2 more visa in the future.
I am sure I read on the gov. Website that those under the 10 year route do not need it. But I am struggling to find any Information either way about the 10 year route
Is this document out of date, it is dated November 2016? Obviously there is a danger that I am reading things online that might be out of date, but it does say A2 is not required.
One of the reasons listed for having to apply via the 10 year route is lack of decent English, so it's quite possible there is no English test. I can't find anything to confirm it though.
Here you go 10 year route exempt if struggling with Finance or and English Language https://www.sunrisesolicitors.co.uk/spouse-visa-10-years-route/switching
Thanks for that. I feel more confident about her not taking the A1 Ielts. When I get a fee waiver I only have 10 working days to apply for the spouse visa or the waiver expires, so its something we needed to know in advance.
