Hi Everyone , I just want to clarify about the stamp of the Bank statement under Barclays Bank . My husband take his Bank Statement to Barclays to request a stamp but its Digital Stamp. I'm not sure if this stamp is alright or I'm just comparing our kind of stamp here in PH . LOL
We have submitted my husband's bank statement which is physically stamped by the manager at the time we visited. In both instances (fiance and flrm), we havent been charged by the bank as well. And although, the bank sends my husband a monthly statement, we didnt want to 'risk' the application by using that since the process to request one literally took less than 5 mins. I havent had any bank statement from ph for visa purposes so im not sure if its different (but i have requested one for a housing loan, which my bank have stamped and initialed by the manager) and its the same one from the TSB bank here (using a rubber stamp and a dark blue ink). Curious what a 'digital stamp' is.
Me too I'm just curious what it looks like . I Juse meant that our stamp her in PH was made with dark ink using piece of wood lol .
A digital stamp is exactly the same as a good old fashioned block of wood stamp that they use in the Philippines A digital stamp is done via the pc before printing the bank statement out.
@Timmers im not the most intelligent computer geek so could you explain how I know if I have a digital stamp with Barclays as that who I also back with and was intending going to Barclays for a stamp on bank statements tomorrow
A digital stamp will be present when they print the statements out for you, they usually include time and date. I'm guessing that a banks digital stamp would include its logo with somewhere to sign and date. I've never seen a bank statement digitally stamped before but I have seen other documents. This is either new for Barclays or there is some confusion to how they will stamp your statements, ask for the good old fashioned stamp if you have any concerns, other than that you could order copy bank statements which do not require a stamp. Have Barclays actually told you they will stamp the statements? The reason I ask is because my bank (NatWest) would not stamp mine, one of the bank staff was going to stamp the statements I took in then another member of staff stepped in and said we cannot do it, I was really peeved about it at the time.
I haven't actually asked them yet. I just took it for granted they would put a branch stamp on them. Guess I will find out tomorrow, I have them printed and ready to take with me when I ask them. If they reprint them in the branch with some kind of stamp I'm sure that will be good enough
I hope they do stamp them for you as its one thing ticked off the list, let us know then we can put Barclays on the good chaps list if they stamp them for you
Managed to eventually get into Barclays Bank today, they offered a digital stamp on statements they will print and send taking about 5 days. The assistant was happy to stamp with their branch stamp which is what I took as expecting documents from my fiancée tomorrow so will be sending the paperwork Sheffield after DHL have delivered. They will receive either Saturday or Monday morning, my fiancée will be doing her biometrics in Cebu Monday morning.
