Now, I don't usually bother to listen to children singing.I don't know, maybe it's a fault of mine. However, I was told that I had to listen to this one - and I was blown away!!! A young girl, with the voice of an angel - a powerful and meaningful lyric - and isn't it refreshing to hear a (full) orchestra once again accompanying a solo performer? I adore everything about this performance! Maybe I'm getting old. Al.
Pleasant enough voice, if you were listening with no video you would say that the singer is in her thirties or forties.
I got hooked on Jackie Evancho a few years ago, when she appeared on America's Got Talent. She blew the Judges away too, even though they knew her, as she was chosen to appear on the show following a YouTube vote. The only thing I find off-putting in her performances is that she copies the mannerisms of her favourite singer - Sarah Brightman. Jackie Evancho went on to win America's Got Talent at the age of ten but an even younger singer won Holland's Got Talent, singing the same as Jackie Evancho.
