    Hi All,

I am currently on the process of applying for citizenship and it's asking for to provide -proof of living in the UK for 5 years. Just confused I thought my BRP (ILR) is enough to prove that I have been living in UK for more than 5 years....Help! :(

I would say that a copy of your passport will show any short trips away. Payslips from employment or a letter from your employer stating how long you have been working (if applicable). Then supported by things like bank statement and copy of utilities if your name is on them. Maybe get something from your UK doctor confirming you have been registered for 5 years.

Passport did the trick for us a couple of years ago. The one with the 5 year entry stamp in.

thank you for your response. another question though- does the referee need to sign at the back of my photo or is it just my signature needed?

The full name and date of birth is written on the reverse of the photo before it is stuck in the correct place on the referee form the referee signs the referee signature in the appropriate place
    No other signature
