For a trouble free flight book with a reputable airline directly via their website. Play with dates if your flexible. Most provide +- days from the chosen date. Regularly check those dates for a period to see if the airlines "algorithm" is favourable. I'm guessing the algorithm uses days before departure, occupancy of the flight and the booking dates. Of course they have limits to minimum price but there are days when the cost can be more favourable over the monitoring period.
Follow the link below and you can find flights from Edinburgh/Manila return from £377 (currently) http://www.skyscanner.net/transport...to-manila-ninoy-aquino-in-may-2015.html?rtn=1 Prices can vary a lot even in the course of a day. I have seen KLM double its price during a day, only to halve it again by the evening!
Ok just booked the tickets for May. Flying from Edinburgh to Manila. Paid £420 KLM code share with China southern. luggage allowance: hand- 7kgs. check in: 23kgs

Hiya I just booked it yesterday. and im flying in May so i want to see how good/ bad they are. I have checked google and so many bad reviews. most of them were about the luggage going missing, some of them bad CS, Incompetent flight staff, and so on. But the price from edinburgh to manila had nealy £200 difference.
