I don't think its possible to get married at British Embassy here. They don't do that kind of service there. If u want to get married, u should apply for a fiance visa to go to UK and get married there. Once u got your visa, u will need to attend a seminar at CFO, but u should book an appointment ahead of time.

I dont believe so. We were back with kids during summer and older two born in philippines entered on uk passports (no philippines passport) and youngest entered and exited on combination of uk/philippines passports. No evidence of CFO stickers and no issues leaving. Wife had her new philippines passport but without CFO and sure no questions on CFO. Had old passport ready if necessary but not required.

Sure I remember another member of the board having checked with BoI and told that not required for dual national and taking his baby out with him.

A call to BoI is probably worth it to confirm

My reply copied from the other thread today: :like:
    .

Your Phils-born dual national children do not need CFO/stickers,etc.
Simply book flights using their British passports, but present both passports at the airport on departing the Phils.

I did this for my dual national (then) 7 year-old son, when we went for a holiday in the UK last April. (Just he and I).

(The Mrs did accompany us to the airport 'just in case').

As said in other post cfo and pdos applies to 20 years old and above and 13 to 19 year olds respectively
    Tourist does not require cfo

I hope I'm writing this in the correct place as I seen this thread was headlined with CFO. I will explain my situation and any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been googling and can't really find an answer to this.

I'm a British citizen and I applied a spouse visa from wife and step daughter, I also have a 8 year old son on the Philippines which we got his UK passport sent to him last year. The visa application for my wife and step daughter has just been processed but haven't had confirmation of a decision yet. To my naivety I only just found out about CFO to leave the Philippines. So I'm assuming my wife and step daughter can apply and will receive clearance sticker after their visas have been accepted.

I didn't apply a visa for my son to enter the UK because he has both a UK passport and phillipines passport. So my question really is how can my son leave the phillipines and enter the UK? His phillipines passport can't get a CFO sticker as his passport won't have a UK visa stamp but on the other hand his British passport doesn't have entry to Philippines because it was sent to him and never been used ? I hope this makes sense and I appreciate anyone who spends the time to read this and I would be very grateful if anyone can shed some light on this issue. Thanks in advance.

As regards your (dual national) son... no CFO or any kind of stamps needed. Simply present both of his passports at departures Immigration.

I have an 8 year-old dual national also (here in the Phils)... and took him to the UK for a holiday, last year....just he and I. (I used his British passport details for booking his air ticket).

My children have uk/filipino passports, as far as I know there's no requirement for them to have any CFO sticker... if and when we do go to the uk we'll just use their UK passports.

    Just an extra thought:

Always carry with you copies of your childrens' birth certificates and your marriage certificate. Also a letter of consent from the mother, if travelling with the children, but without her. I wasn't asked, but it doesn't hurt to have the necessary 'proofs' to hand.

My wife's got dual citizenship, when she last went abroad she showed the immigration at Manila airport her British passport, they said if you use that you will be considered a Brit and be considered an over-stayer unless you have an Filipino passport which she had.
Don't know if that's the same for children!

All dual citizens simply need to present both passports.

You can't be an overstayer in a country if you hold a passport for that country...ie, you are a CITIZEN of that country.

Just need to show proof...adult or child.

Just to follow up I'm wondering if anyone would be so kind just to talk me through the process as I find it hard to digest when trying to find the correct information from Google.

My wife and step daughter have now been granted their UK visas, and have their passports back. We now need to get the CFO clearance I'm just wondering what the process is step by step.

So we make an appointment online ? Will that 2 different appointments to make ? One for my wife and another for my 17 year old stepdaughter ?

Before the appointment do they need to do the seminar ? Or do u need to book a separate appointment for that and have that already done before u book the interview appointment?

Again any help is most appreciated, thank u
