Brits warned they might be banned from entering 70 countries if they have a red passport

Just received my new British Passport this past week. The photo in it looks like some old bloke. I think I look more like the previous photo than this one.

Very flimsy cover, but the details page has a number of anti-forgery tricks up its sleeve that only the best will be able to copy (and they will)

Disappointed to see that it refers to Her Britannic Majesty inside, and has yet to be changed. You'd have thought that the new ones would already have been printed, and that this stock would simply be destroyed.

Anyone would think the country is short of money or something.

Then I see that Somerset Councillors have just okayed a 14% pay rise for....Somerset Councillors. Reassuring to know there's still plenty of cash around for that.
