The British Embassy today issued a five page list of medical facilities in the Philippines. Not only is it incomplete, it only serves to demonstrate that nobody from the British Embassy ventures outside the National Capital Region. All the hospitals and clinics listed are in Manila and immediately surrounding cities. No mention of Chong Hua, Cebu Doc, Davao Doc and the Brokenshire even though they are top class hospitals.

It's not that long ago that there was a Consulate here in Davao and the newish Hon Con in Cebu's sole raison d'etre is completely unknown. But she certainly does not perform half of the functions that her mother so willingly provided for British expats and visitors. "Con" is probably an apt description. Yes we are. We had to wait over 9 months for the NSO to issue our younger son's Birth Certificate due to an admninistrative cock-up at the local Registrar's office. He's now got a Philippine Passport, as has his elder brother, but the Embassy has refused to forward the applications for their British Passports until the situation at the Liverpool Passport Office improves. We've been advised to reapply in about 9 months' time. They did offer 'emergency' travel documents but they're only valid for a single journey to the UK which is not where we want to be - nor can we apply for their Passports there!
What I just want to share we applied for our daugther 1st british passport overseas and its been 10months already and still no news spouse visa?
