    Tony Kaye (Everton) was banned for life in 1964 for betting when he was at the previous club, Sheffield Wednesday. The ban was rescinded 7 years later.
    So, Toney's eight months is not so bad.
    Perhaps the life ban was because Kaye's bet was on his own side losing?
