    Hey guys,

Was wondering if any of you have had success with booking with Cebu Pacific using a UK registered debit card?

I've booked a return flight for my wife to go home to the Philippines in March for a fortnight (God knows she needs a holiday) and although she will spend a day or two in Manila visiting her brother and other relatives, Cebu is where she will spend most of her time.

I recall Cebu Pacific being difficult to book with from the UK. I also have a credit card but I am reluctant to use it as it is in my name, whereas Joy has her own debit card she can produce at an airport if they want proof she bought the ticket..

I bought Ana a ticket from Korea to Manila using my UK Mastercard back on Dec 16th, Cebu Pacific do not ask to see the card that was used to book, I checked that with them by phoning the Manila booking office from the UK before I bought the ticket online.

    Should be fine Sean.

I too, bought my wife a ticket last September, using my debit card. It states that you should present the card or photo copy od the card used. I gave her a copy of my card, but they never asked her for it.

Sean, as Joy will almost certainly have baggage, I'd book her on PAL which definitely will accept your UK Debit Card. On competitive routes such as MNL-CBU, PAL often works out cheaper if you can book a month ahead.

The Cebu Pacific website had a few problems accepting payments in the past, think it is OK these days.

Better to use Joy's debit card for payment, and don't let her leave the card in the UK.

I went to Cebu for Xmas 2014 but had stay a day in Manila to go to the British Embassy first. I paid using a Nationwide Flexplus VISA debit card via Cebu Pacific's website. Payment went through flawlessly. I did not have to show the debit card at the airport. Using Nationwide's Flexplus card meant that I did not have to pay any exchange rate fees either.

Good to see you back on the forums too!!!
