Two years ago, it has cost me around 8 pounds when I applied for my FLR... and now, it will cost me another 19.20 pounds for my ILR... WTF!!! Why do they have to get my biometric data again if they have done it before??? arrgghhhh... Right, rant over!
I guess to make sure that you are the same person getting those biometrics.. And to get some extra money for the coffers!
We just missed the "cut-off" date for the new ILR rules, so altho' my wife got the biometrics done when she applied for her FLR, she didn't need to renew for her ILR. Crazy situation in my view..... they give you a biometrics ID card, then you hand it back to them !
