    Hi,

What is the best portable device for reading .pdf?

I am still a tablet / kindle virgin but have a lot of pdf's that would be great to see whilst on the move.

    Thx

All tablets will show PDF documents, but I would recommend one with a good size screen for the text so you don't have to do too much swiping. Although, if you view it in portrait mode, pretty much any book is perfectly readable.

Though personally, I would go for the Google Nexus 7!

    Three questions:

    1. Can an external hard drive be connected to the Asus Google Nexus 7?

    2. Does it have a miniature USB port?

    3. Do you read .pdf's with reasonable ease?

    1. Not sure, unless it goes wireless.

    2. No.. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC (Android Beam)

    3. On a smartphone I read PDF files for some stuff with ease.

I think the nexus 7 has a mini usb port which means just buying an adaptor lead. Just checked the website and looked at the wifes and it has a micro usb port.

Screen is really good though she does have to charge it every night which is no real hardship.

I'm thinking about getting a nexus 10 for using at work but I believe there is a new version out soon and my laptop hasn't given up the ghost just yet so I'm hanging on
