This years Barrio Fiesta in London is going to be on Sunday 21st July 2013! Thankfully, unlike last year where we were kept in the dark due to the Olympics, we know well in advance and can book time off from work and what not to head down to London that weekend. Sadly, there are no other confirmed details, but I think it is safe to assume the event will take place in Lampton Park, Hounslow (as it has previously). No news on the Saturday 20th July, but who knows... I for one will be making sure Joy and myself are in London that weekend for the Barrio Fiesta, it will be our first.. So, who else is coming?
We haven't missed any for the past few years, rain or shine............... So, we will defo be there, somewhere............ Looking forward to see old and new friends alike........... Chances are, I will be sitting on a camping chair, under my cowboy hat, with the wifey tending to my every need........... I do the driving... Right...?? Pay for the fuel....??? And all I get in exchange is some food and a can of minging pepsi..........? The rules of engagement will definitively change this year............... Oh, by the way............ It will be a two day thing, as per usual. If we are flush, we may stay the night at a hotel nearby, thus enjoying the entertainment for longer, as it is different on both days.
The "Master Robert", just a few hundred yards down the road from the Park. It used to be a "Best Western", but they let the franchise go. It can be noisy at night as it is right under one of Heathrow's landing flight path, but it stops at 12, I think.. Dinner is ok, but breakfast is absolutely outstanding... I think it was 60 quid for 2, for the night, including english breakfast. Book well in advance, as shed loads of Filipinos do actually stay there.
Might also harass a cousin I have who lives in Hounslow to put me and Joy up, better ring my uncle Buddy some time soon
Hello Kuya! We are planning to go to Barrio Fiesta in London. We don't go every year but my friends from Manchester go to Barrio Fiesta in London every year. I hope to meet new friends if ever we decided to go ahead with the plan.
Please not that the Venue has been moved to Near Hampton Court. Once we get there we will certainly find out if it is better than usual or not.... Travel from London at the week-end may be slightly more difficult I reckon...
