OMG! Red horse??? It's a head banger! I drink San Miguel Light! but Stella and Becks here in UK. Balut is so delicious and full of vitamins not advisable if you have high blood problem though!
Red horse gives me stamina, you should see me racing around, only joking, yeah it's a first class hang-over..
It would be nice if there was more choice in the Phils, San Mig light is generally my choice too and it's not the easiest thing to get a nice bottle of wine over there either, not impossible but not easy. When entertaining family the guys generally ask for Red Horse if I give them the choice, it's stronger and cheaper, kind of the Phils version of Tennent's Super Lager, although I doubt Red Horse is anywhere near as strong as Tennent's/
I don't have definite time to get up or go to bed, sometimes I don't sleep all night at all! As there's no such good sleep for me if my husband is not sleeping next to me! But soon we will be together again so I would be able to have a nice sleep like a baby again! :dream:
Yeah I couldn't find the offical alcohol content of Red Horse, I have tried it once but I wouldn't make a habit of it, think I only ever tried the Tennent's once many many many years ago.
Becks and Stella are good beers though! It doesn't give me any hang over! But you can't find it in Philippines but they have it in Dubai.
You can get Stella or Becks or even McEwan's Export in the Hobbit House in Malate, it's all canned and exorbitantly priced although not much worse than here to be honest, you can also get a Gunniness there Jim, had a couple of cans there over the years listening to a few good bands.
Yeah I had Guinness last time i was over, in cans thou, not the same. Think it was 250 peso a can. that was in Ermita
That woke up some memories. Haven't had any of that stuff since.............. I can't even remember. SML is OK for me and I do find it refreshing and quite tasty. But it's true that the Phils prices are sky-high (relatively) for those imported beers.
A bit too much information detail there Peter. My god, that looks revolting...... I found I could at least eat Durian, but balut
It was a novelty really, I've not had McEwan's export for decades either apart from there, Jim was about right 250 peso a can for Guinness in the Hobbit house, at an exchange rate of about 83 peso last time I had any imported beer, so about 3 quid a can. Ana had a large can of Stella and nearly fell off her seat
