Arrival in UK: Summer Seems Winter for Me

    Have to admit that returning to the UK after a decade abroad the weather was hard to get used to. Whilst it's true there are a number of days that are truly lovely weather, not too cold and not too hot either, there are a lot of bloody miserable damp grey days like today that just make me want to move to another country. It's a great place to be a gardener because plants love to grow here though. All that rain and mild weather makes happy plants. ;)

    I'm not sure about the truth of the remark about weighing hay. Sounds like an urban myth to me.

    The greeting is actually pronounced Why Aye and is an affirmative 'yes', akin to 'och aye' by The Scots - 'Aye' being 'yes'.
