Applying for Visitor Visa for my gf

GF got her Tourist Visa in January after we did the following.

Started planning a year before we got it.

Went to Singapore and Hong Kong last year to get same stamps in both our passports. (This is more for her immigration than ours). Not a virgin passport anymore.

Copies of 6 months bank statements, payslips,P60, tenancy agreement, Copies of both Passports, letter of invitation.

This was written to show there is no intention to remain past the 3 months she is staying. It also had an indication as to what she would be doing. Have some idea's as to touristy things. Something she wants to see in the UK. Something quirky. That means she has plans to do something so knows a little about the UK.

As a student nurse on the 3 month summer holiday I got her to get a letter from her university saying she had a place to return to (3 out of 4 years completed) and also a letter from her sister saying she resided with her.

She isnt employed, has nothing in her bank account and we hadnt got a plane ticket. Things people seem to think are important. Our case shows they are not needed. Maybe helpful but not needed.

I read on this forum while just being a visitor here last year the best bit of advice. This is what prompted me to take the year to get the visa.

They are interested in stopping overstayers. Once you get this in your head it isnt difficult if she is really coming as a tourist.

If the Tourist Visa is another way of having your pinay here on the cheap and there is even a hint of a possible overstay then Embassy will reject.

However much that hurts and you think the government are bad cause our relationships are personal, the Embassy wont grant unless they are 100% sure your GF is going home again. So focus on the reasons she wont be here beyond the end of the visa.

And they will have seen every scam/not quite truth going cause they are doing this day after day. So if your not 100% truthful and they rumble you its only because they have seen it all before.
