Hey guys! Just new in this forum.. I need some insights on how to apply my spouse visa in the philippines.. I am a filipino and got married to a british citizen guy. We got married in England during my stay there as a student. We lived together there but I decided to go back in the Philippines because of the stress given by my college. I just want to ask what are the requirements needed if Im gonna apply here in the Philippines? Do i need to get an authenticated NSO marriage certificate even if I got the UK marriage certificate with me? Hope you guys can help me. Thank you.
Hi Shanaz and welcome to BF, please see the link below on obtaining a spouse visa, good luck with it http://www.british-filipino.com/ind...r-a-partner-spouse-visa-under-new-rules.5740/
My wife applied for a Spouse visa. However we got married in the Philippines. So I am uncertain about what you need in terms of proof of marriage when you apply. I would have thought that the UK marriage certificate would suffice as its an application for a UK visa through the UK embassy. But am not sure.
Thanks guys.. We're just gathering all the documents needed for this application. Gosh! This is really stressful.
If you need any help just post your questions here at BF, I'm sure someone here will be able to give you all the answers, good luck Applying for a visa is hard work, attention to detail is required, you will be fine.
Thank u Timmers! Hopefully everything will br fine. How long does it really take to have the decision of the visa application from the home office? And do i need to submit my son's birth certificate as evidence that we have a son who is british?
On the website it will tell you that 90% of applications are dealt with within 60 working days, in my case it was 50 days inclusive of weekends and holidays. We were told on submission that it could be up to three months, its a bit of a lottery really.
Hi! I will apply for a spouse visa soon. I just want to ask what documents did you submit for the application. Thanks
