ok--we are approaching the next stage. i have got all paperwork ready to send ( i hope ) via DHL. she has a TB test booked for this wednesday . ( do they have april fools day in the filis ? ) so--next step is for her to register--using this : https://www.gov.uk/apply-uk-visa i understand she then gets a password--? which means i can also access her online form and fill out the sponsorship boxes from this end ?. once she has completed the online form--and appendix 2--?---- she then pays the fee--and prints a copy. is there a time limit between registering--and paying ? and also--how does she make an appointment to hand it all in---and is there a time limit for this also ?
I used an agency in the past who did all this for us, so I'm not sure what happened. One thing you will need t be sure of is that she doesn't need to pay the NHS surcharge on a fiancee visa. It looks like she doesn't, as it's a 6 month visa, but it's best to be sure on that. One number that is useful is the UK Immigration Contact Centre. Their number is 0300 123 2241 then press option 4. They have answered queries for me recently regarding when we need to apply regarding the English test expiry so it's worth knowing that.
do i fill this out and send it with the other paperwork ?https://www.gov.uk/government/uploa...achment_data/file/261405/sponsorship-form.pdf who signs the 2nd page ?
She can open an account and you can access and pay from here, be warned myself and a couple of others here have had problems paying online, just be persistent. The account remains open for quite a long time apparently, months in fact. She will also be able to make the appointment to submit the visa application and pay for the premium service online which basically means she will not have to queue at the VFS office. The second page is for official use only.
The second page is for official use only. so--i fill out form SU07/12--and sent it to her with all the rest ?
i'm trying to make sure i get it right first time--i dont really want to have to use the DHL service a 2nd time--just for a missing form or proof.
Might be a good idea to do the online form together, the online form asks for a lot of personal information, travel movements and so on.
Yes, it can go on your pile. I never filled that form in but it wont do any harm to include it, belts and braces and all that.
am i right in assuming we can change or correct the online form--before she submits it ? she has printed a blank set--and been filling it out in pencil--as a trial run
I'll remind you when you start moaning how long its taking I'm like you, the wait didn't bother me in the slightest, you just start to have little niggling doubts about whether you put the application together correctly.
you just start to have little niggling doubts about whether you put the application together correctly. i wonder if anyone ever does get it 100% correct--seems loaded against the applicant
The form can accessed online after you have made your account, the form will have a reference number on it, if I remember rightly that reference number ends up on the visa in the passport. The form is about 10 pages long.
Look at the link below, its what oneworld did a while back, that will help you. http://www.british-filipino.com/index.php?threads/spouse-visa-online-application.9773/
The form you fill in online is the personal details form, you have to fill in the VAF4A2 (financial form) separately.
The missus used a pdf editor to fill in the financial form so it looked more professional, but the common pen is more than adequate.
so--she can fill the personal form online--pay the fee--and submit it --while waiting for my stuff to get to her ? whats the time frame from submitting to the appointment ?
