I've seen a few of these about so I thought I would add a review, though my experience is only of the Angel's in barili, Cebu.

Basically, these are cheap burger, hotdog and sandwich shops. You can usually eat here as well as there are some stools lined up for people to sit whilst they eat. Prices are very cheap for a westerner, 33 pesos gets you a cheeseburger on a buy one get one free offer - so you get two! The cheeseburgers here are not amazing, you get a tiny burger cooked on a grill, in a bun, served with mayo, cheese and ketchup. Taste wise it is on a par with some of the burgers I have had at food stalls throughout the UK so it is not bad at all. A further 10 pesos gets you an ice cold bottle of Pepsi:like:

I have also tried their Hungarian Sausage hot-dog. Though fairly small and not worth the price for the size of it - compared to their hot-dogs and burgers, the Hungarian sausage was very nice and felt European in taste, if only they had some Heinz Ketchup and not the cheap stuff they use it would have been as good as the ones served in the UK.. This was about 40 pesos and costs more than other items but still nice.

Though I have yet to try them, they have normal coloured hot-dogs so I think they will be nice, and also serve up a Chorizo hot-dog....

So, if you fancy a burger and want to help a small business keep going. I recommend Angels Hamburgers and they are open 24 hours :like:
