Weekend away getting the van ready for the summer months, visited this fine piece of engineering, connecting the Trent and Mersey Canal to the River Weaver, (50 feet lift/lower between the 2) The Anderton Boat Lift

I reckon The Falkirk Wheel, while not as old, is more impressive.

    Dusting the van huh?

    Going anywhere nice this year?

Yes did the Falkirk wheel along with the Kelpies 3 years ago both very impressive, was very impressed with the history of Anderton maybe because I know the Cheshire area better than Falkirk way.
As you know we did Switzerland Italy Germany and a corridor of France last year, this year it’s France Switzerland meeting my brother near Zermatt so we will do the viewing platform on the Matterhorn then dropping down on the Italy France border towards The French Rivera towards Carcassonne then upto the Dordogne leave for the trip June 2nd for 7 weeks
