Got the daughters passport :) We will be utilising the MAN-HKG service, which is yet to start (8th Dec). I feel this is going to be a right journey with having the baby in tow however we have secured seats which have a bassinet (baby basket)

Sad as I am I watched the flight earlier on flightradar24. I will be on this flight in early January.

Worth remembering that KLM has decent fares on the MAN-HKG route via AMS.

Also on the MAN-MNL route (via AMS) which is better if you have no business in HKG.

December is always the season of silly airfare prices, I don't think I've paid less than £1,100 return to Manila or Dubai using Emirates at Christmas time especially when I've had to leave it late to book. Always deals to be had if you can book well in advance and you don't mind who you fly with.

Thankfully this is the first Christmas in eight years I will be spending at home in the UK, no more Christmas flights to Dubai or Manila to see the loved one :)

And the first Christmas I will be spending in the UK with my new Filipina bride
