Has anyone had this happen to them. Recently booked a Airbnb for one month in Davao in September. Paid in full and that was the end of it. So I thought. Today I got a message from the host asking for a security deposit of 5000 pesos to cover for the costs of the electricity. This was never stated in the prices and wondered if anyone else has gone through anything similar.
I don't think I'd have paid up in full ...... maybe 1 or 2 weeks ...... then the balance as time progressed. Electricity deposit: Yes..... it's now starting to become a common feature, as people have been checking out 1 or 2 days early, and before the final meter readings We've had to adopt the same policy on our HMO in Davao .... the 1 mnth deposit is ONLY returned after the final deductions for the utility charges. Which area are you staying .... nr Abreeza Mall ? Oasis ? Seaview in Sasa ?
I was in Davao and Midsayap most of Feb. ..... and before you ask, no..... the traffic is not getting better. Probably worse
