Micawber, This may bring back some good memories for you: I used to go to a club in the Congo by myself. I used to move my feet a bit, well you can't keep 'em still when west African music plays loud :vhappy:
West African music and dance, you can't beat it Micawber (or anyone who has lived in West Africa) will understand The connection between the music and the dance will go straight over others' heads. Jamaicans have a good expression "Those Who Feel It, Know It" It is about a celebration of life itself, not about what I think you are alluding to.
Agreed. I also enjoy the dancing and music. Yes, some happy memories.... and some not so happy memories. I actually never got to Congo. I tried to enter one time from Angola but got refused entry and to this day cannot figure out why. I wasn't brave enough to argue with automatic weapons. We had a factory in South Africa and I would spend loads of time down there just preparing for my next project.
