Good evening, I'm looking at travelling to Makati this December to get married, but I hear there are some new forms that are required. I have been online and printed off the "Affidavit of Marital Status" and "Affirmation of Marital Status" My question is..... Do I simply fill these out at home and take with my to the British Embassy in Manila or do I need to get them notarised here in the UK before I leave? Many thanks Gaz
Hi Gaz and welcome, I'm sure one of the chaps will be along soon to answer your question, good luck with the wedding
Here's the government blurb on it... https://www.gov.uk/government/uploa...he_Philippines_leaflet_as_of_23_June_2014.pdf
Hi. Yeah I saw the thread, but it didn't answer my question which is why I asked again. Those are the forms I have, but I find it quite strange that I can complete them here and take with me to the Philippines without having them notarised or witnessed beforehand. It's all quite confusing. I miss the days of getting information from someone via a phone or in person rather than being told to search online.
