Full of TV, table tennis, XBoxes or Playstations, three meals a day, free dentistry, doctors, and open to various ways of getting millions in compensation.... Cheaper to hang them now, becuase they will not learn anything useful in jail apart from being more disruptive and criminally minded.
I usually try to remain well balanced.............but I have to say I see the craziness more often these days. Let me explain. My wife is a carer at the local residential care home. It's a council run home. There have been cut-backs this year to save money. Can't argue with that in principle, after all we're all in it together right? Some of the cut-backs are just mean and penny pinching but do impact the residents. Anyway, here's the latest directive. Each resident is only allowed 3 'pads' per day. (for 'pad' read pampers) This means all residents now spend most of the time in their wet and soiled 'pads'. I won't go into all the details about reducing the fluid intakes to reduce the need to change 'pads' etc, as I sure you all see the point. Food changes to lower cost lower quality foods that the residents don't like and so don't eat. More cost benefits. I could go on, but I don't want to bore everone. Anyway, my wife thinks they'll all be better taken care of in prison. They'll certainly be better fed, warmer, better entertained, have a wider range of reading material and a better social life. I reckon she's right. Did I wander off-topic again? hope not too much. There are worse places than a UK prison .................... a UK council run care home is one. And that's where we lock up all those who contributed so much during their lives in the quest for a bright future
Yeah I can believe that Peter and I don't think you will bore anyone, I think your wife is right too!
