We had the company annual gathering at the weekend, and all went sailing in the Solent for 2 days. Having never been sailing previously, I have to say it was excellent fun! I definitely want to do it again :)

Anyway, I knocked up a little video of what went on... I'm sure it makes more sense if you know the people involved :)

    Yes Tim.
That's also how I met my wife. Went to go diving with thresher sharks and then met a dusky maiden.
Now we have two kids and my scuba kit sits idly in storage as I work all the hours I can.
Still, hopefully, I will be fit enough at about 70 y.o. when both my kids will get their fins wet in Phils.

    Do you dive?

I thought that you would have met the loved one when on a diving trip, I have talked to many divers who have had trips to the Far East.

I don't dive but I used to work around many people who did, I worked for the worlds largest manufactured of BA compressors for three years and on occasion went out to repair those little compressors (damn expensive for what they are) you use to fill your cylinders at dive facilities and fire stations. If you ever need advice on BA compressors let me know and I will try to help you out.
I have always fancied a bit of scuba diving especially when I'm in the Philippines but I find it hard to breath using a BA set, probably thirty years of smoking hasn't help me with that one :)

Lots of smokers dive (I don't smoke) Tim.
Some regulators are adjustable so the user can get more air if required.
The diving in the Philippines is not the best though due to over-fishing and typhoons wiping sites out from time to time but it is warm water and quite colourful.
I dive when I am there with the family.
I was richer years ago and working in Asia so I used to dive before or after a job.
I visited Phils many times before I met my future wife.

I haven't smoked for two years, saving my health and about eighty quid a week, mainly the money the reason I gave up. I do puff away on the electronic cigarette though for five quid a week.
I feel a bit panicky when I have a BA set on but like you said about the regulator, if I used one where I could adjust the air flow then I might be okay with it. I've seen quite a lot of British divers in the Philippines especially when I've managed to get out of Manila for a few days to a resort. So you have worked a lot in Asia much like myself, that's when I fell in love with the Filipino people maybe twenty years before I met my girlfriend. Always liked the place and the people even though the country has many faults ass you know.

By the way I was richer years ago too, now I'm not now but I do okay and I'm happy with my lot.

Happiness is what its all about not money :) doesn't always feel like that though does it :)
