They would surely have to be in the British Museum?

    But could be in archives...

We are blessed with some great museums, including the Natural History and Geology museums.

I have been on this forum for years, unlike you, and I live in a country were most people no longer tolerate the Catholic Church. You would be wise to understand this before you come to live in the UK.

Talking about religion in the UK will only get you into trouble, better talk about being filthy rich, maybe not....

    Hahahahahaha

Hence why I speak in a free forum in the Internet and not in the streets or in Luneta like a lunatic. And like I said, you can't separate the Spanish regime from the Catholic Church. They were one and the same back then.

And don't worry. Even though I have not been on this forum for long; with my education, upbringing and years of experience, (though the latter maybe short compared to yours), I know exactly how to handle myself in an actual conversation. I know about subtlety, humour, being on-topic, active listening and reading and when to be serious.

Thank you very much and have a good day.

Many people in the UK do not like young "know-it-all's". (another tip).
It would be better for you to actually gain years of experience dealing with many people before you profess to be experienced.

All of them and several times. But not recently. I forgot the Science Museum and I gather the Geology museum has merged into the Natural History, since I visited last.

There is a cluster of them in South Kensington. Easy to spend a full day or more in each.

Also the Victoria and Albert museum.

You can't please everybody, and you are stupid if you try.

There's a difference between years of experience, and years of meaningful experience.

But I digress now, and it's off-topic. You have a good day.

You will get some "meaningful" experience not long after you arrive in the UK.
    Hahahahahaha.
You have a good day now.
(I am practicing some useful phrases that will come in handy....I've never heard them before....) :)
    Hahahahahaha.,
    You have a good day.....

    Yeah, I've got it now.
    hahahahahaha
    Oh yes!

"Many valuable oil paintings by Spanish artists from the Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, rare maps, charts, historical manuscripts and official documents, precious books, letters and papers of religious orders, together with bundles of primary source materials about the Philippines during the 17th century, were taken away by Dawsonne Drake and his successor, Alexander Dalrymple, and eventually ended up at the British Museum in London or auctioned by Sotheby's."

Oddly enough kissing the Bishop's ring was still going on when I was at secondary school in Scotland, at the annual school prize-giving ceremony the Bishop of the diocese would preside centre stage and all the prize winners had to go up on stage kneel before the Bishop and kiss his ring when collecting their prize.

The prizes were always books and the Bish would present you with your chosen book, I won the prize for Engineering Drawing, no one could touch me at that, anyway my hobby was photography and I chose a book from the local bookstore called 'Photo Effects and Tricks' it happened to have a particularly tasteful nude on the front cover :)

The look I got from the deputy headmaster as he picked up the book to hand it to the Bishop and then the look I got from the Bishop were priceless :D

    Slightly off topic..., sorry :)

I suspect we did try to get the locals to rebel, for purely practical reasons as knight had pointed out earlier, the main reason we left though was as part of the political settlement, of the 7 years war, with Spain.

I thought it was Knight being overly zealous with the graphic description...

Have you ever been to Intramuros Mike?

Well worth a visit, the old city has seen so many colonial disasters.

Sadly I never captured in detail all the bullet holes that still show in the buildings to this day from WWII.
