Well having slowly and purposefully gone through the wedding process Friday I finaly bumped into a glitch on two counts

Firstly we went to the D.F.A. to collect Jheans daughters passport We had to wait for Jheans to be issued befor applying

As thursday was a holiday Jhean spoke to security and they said come tomorrow however when we arrived there is a general delay up to 3 weeks big signs every where and now we need to phone to make sure its read.

A pity the guard who informed us didnt say the day befor ah well

Then we tracked down the City Registra who has moved from City hall to City Health a delightfully crumbling edifice with such departments as "Cadavers" having been misdirected a few times and explored the building extensively we arrived at a small office where the Registra explained or Minister had filled the Our Marriage Certificate in wrong By Putting "Talisay" at the top instead of "Cebu City" and "Cebu Province" at the bottom Instead of "Talisay City" although I think thats picky as on the liscence it doesnt say it was issued at Talisay still dont want to spoil her moment.

In addition she didnt like how he wrote the date of his authorisation 2012 31st December prefering December 31st 2012

We have till Tuesday to retify or be late filing so we get to make another special trip and 1000piso soon Joy:rolleyes:

This is the country where the kids have to write firstname middlename and surname on every school test, it has to match their birth certificate, so when I wanted to give my daughter a couple of extra middle names (after my mum and Ana's mum) I was told my daughter would hate me when she grew up :D

It's a picky picky picky country when it comes to filing in forms, you're an old hand now Keith, you sure she wasn't just looking for some blue coloured presents?

Well last Tuesday having renewed the papers completly we managed to get our wedding "registered" and on this Friday collected the stamped two copies one for the Minister and one for us from the four origionals.

For a quick NSO Certificate we had to pay an extra 100 piso for "taxi fare" to the registra lol but its filed now and NSO copy ordered so we should have it in another two-three weeks fingers crossed

Still no sign of Mickeys passport but we keep ringing the DFA:)

Your NSO and two/three weeks in the same sentence don't go together....:(

We had to wait at least 5 months for it to come back registered, and only after Jet followed up nearly every day, by moidering one of her 3rd/4th cousins working for NSO locally.
Things may have improved, I don't know.
    I sincerely hope so.
